A high percentage of grp stair tread covers are installed over traditional steel checker plate stairs. Checkerplate stairs are notoriously slippery in wet and icy conditions.

GRP stair tread covers are easily installed over this type of step. Simply adhesively bonded and also screwed in place. Captrad's anti-slip stair treads provide an excellent slip-resistant surface no matter what the conditions. We can also produce GRP stair nosings to suit as well.

GRP stair treads also have contrasting coloured nosing which means that it meets new BS8300 building regulations and helps with compliance with the disability discrimination act and offer excellent anti-slip properties.
