Captrad supplies filament-wound GRP pipes for public, utility and industrial applications where corrosion resistance, mechanical performance and straightforward installation matter. The system can be considered for underground, surface and selected underwater pipe routes.
Pipe is manufactured in two controlled stages: a chemical barrier is first formed on a rotating mandrel, then bidirectional filament-wound structural layers are built up to the required wall thickness. Above-ground pipe can include an external layer for UV, weathering and external-corrosion protection.

Pressure & stiffness
Pipes can be made in pressure ratings up to 32 bar. The established range lists PN1, PN6, PN10 and PN16 with SN2500, SN5000 and SN10000 stiffness factors; selected diameters are available at PN20, PN25 and PN32.
Wall thickness and filament-winding pattern are adjusted around hoop, longitudinal, negative-pressure and burial loads. Pipe can be supplied to relevant BS, EN and ASTM pressure and stiffness standards.
Joint systems & fittings
Pipe can be supplied plain ended for proprietary joints, including Viking Johnson, or with a double-ring sleeve coupler (Reka type). Joints carry the same pressure rating as the pipe.
Matching bends, reducers, tees and Ys can be manufactured from laminated pipe sections to suit the required pressure, stiffness and route geometry.
