Translucent GRP sheets
Impact-resistant GRP glazing that lets light through
Captrad manufactures translucent GRP glazing panels to order for projects that need natural light, strength, privacy and long-term outdoor performance.
Fybaglaze translucent GRP panels are manufactured using high-quality resins and fibreglass to provide a robust alternative to conventional glazing. They are suitable for projects where light transmission is needed without sacrificing impact resistance, practical handling or visual privacy.
GRP glazing can be cut, drilled and installed using conventional tools. It can also be glazed in a similar way to glass using compatible polyurethane or silicone mastics. Share your required opening sizes, panel thickness, finish, quantities and delivery address so Captrad can quote accurately.
Where translucent GRP glazing is used
Railway stations, platform canopies and transport shelters
Industrial units, rooflights, cladding and infill systems

Panel types & finish options
Fybalite / Fybaglaze is translucent GRP without welded wire mesh, specified where light transmission, security and privacy are important. Fybaguard incorporates a steel mesh for anti-vandal applications, while Fybamesh uses encapsulated wire mesh for applications such as balcony panels, stairwell glazing and rooflights.
Standard finish combinations include smooth, crinkle, leatherette and woodgrain surfaces. Other finishes can be discussed for project-specific requirements.
Made to order
Standard Fybagard / Fybalite stock-sheet size is 2440 × 1220 mm. Panels can be manufactured to customer requirements, subject to handling and delivery constraints; the usual maximum length is 3500 mm and the maximum width is 1525 mm. Fybamesh is available in 2440 × 1220 mm or derivatives within those sizes.
GRP glazing can be manufactured from 3 mm to 12 mm thick, with 3 mm, 4 mm and 6 mm commonly specified and 12 mm usually the maximum thickness produced.
Engineered performance
Depending on thickness and surface texture, light transmission can be up to 83%. The GRP glazing range offers impact resistance, low thermal conductivity and UV-resistant resin / finish options. Fire-performance options can be discussed for the intended installation.
The supplied technical brochure includes additional information on impact, UV, fire, thermal and handling characteristics. Confirm the required performance level with Captrad before specification.
